Physiotherapy treatments in Coventry

At Cheylesmore Physiotherapy Practice, we aim to provide prompt treatments and appointments normally within 48 hours, but often less than this depending on patient availability.

Your first physiotherapy session will involve us taking a detailed and comprehensive assessment of your condition. We will then discuss our findings with you and develop a treatment plan especially for you. As we follow a hands-on approach to physiotherapy, further treatment sessions may then include soft tissue massage, mobilisation techniques or stretching. We can help treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions like back pain, tennis elbow and arthritis.

Soft tissue massage therapy

We can help you maintain healthy muscles and tendons through soft tissue massage. If you have constant back pain due to your lifestyle or an accident, we offer physiotherapy to help ease your pain.

Massage will help to increase blood circulation, relax muscles and aid the healing process. Large body areas can be treated, or more specific areas or trigger points. We use both manual hands on massage and also a massage gun where appropriate.
Acupuncture

Taping
Taping
Your physio may suggest taping as part of your treatment plan. There are different taping options available, but they all primarily offer support to joints, muscles or tendons. Your physio will apply the tape, but can also teach you the application technique so you can do this at home.
Advice, Education and Exercise
Advice, Education and Exercise
Your physiotherapist will provide a tailored exercise plan for you based on the condition you have. These will be exercises and daily activities that if completed will have a positive effect on your treatment, and also reduce the chances of a future flair up. We can also provide advice on posture, work environment, sporting activities and pre-existing conditions.
Help at Home
Help at Home
We can offer home visits if you are not able to attend the Practice. You will be seen by one of our physiotherapists who will carry out a treatment session in your home or care home.
